National Association of Rocketry Certification Level 1

In my first year with BYU Rocketry, I designed and built my first High Power Rocket. I used OpenRocket to design it for stable flight, and had my first experience in Computer Aided Design to model some components. With the help of the university design lab, I 3D printed a motor retainer, and I cut the fins with a laser engraver. I presented my rocket to the club leadership for design review, and before flight, I underwent flight readiness review.

The skills I learned at this early stage formed a strong base for my future work in rocketry.
